We are Birds Queensland, with membership primarily located within Queensland, Australia. For the business-minded, our legal name is Queensland Ornithological Society (Inc.) and our ABN is
43 891 546 740.

Our society, including this web site, is fully managed by volunteers. That means we aren't always available at a moments notice but we certainly welcome your enquiries, comments or suggestions. And we'll get back to you as soon as we possibly can with a response.

We value your privacy. Information collected by us is only used to provide services and contact you as requested.

Contact us by telephone

BQ has several expert ornithologists and birders who can usually answer questions about birds. But the best way to have these questions dealt with by the most appropriate person is to fill in the details in the "Contact Us" form provided below. Our volunteers mainly communicate by email since they generally work away from home during business hours. A message by email is more comprehensive than one on a telephone message bank. The email contact form is more likely to get to the best person for your query.

Use of the following telephone number should only be for matters of immediate concern and generally of a secretarial matter. Overseas callers should consult their time zone tables to ensure that they ONLY call within the specified times at Australian Eastern Standard Time.
