Protect the Bush Alliance

In July 2012, Birds Queensland joined with representatives of Birdlife Southern Queensland, National Parks Association of Queensland and Wildlife Queensland to form an alliance of people and organisations to protect the bush.

The aims of Protect the Bush Alliance are:

  • To advocate the protection of areas of High Conservation Value; and
  • To identify and encourage activities that improve understanding of their biodiversity and environmental values.

Membership of the Alliance is open to any organisation, business or individual that accepts these aims. There is no membership fee. Although it is expected that members will have a wide range of views on other issues, they will be able to work together to achieve the aims of the Alliance.

The Alliance welcomes individual memberships. For more information see
