We’ll meet at the T junction of where Hillside Terrace becomes The Esplanade and Tarcoola joins in (UBD 179 D7). Tarcoola St is a divided road with an ‘upside’ and a ‘downside’. There is parking on the down side which comes down from Hawken drive, since there is limited parking space on The Esplanade.
The track crosses Sandy Creek and then moves along between the Brisbane River (Long Pocket Reach) and the St Lucia Golf links, towards Meires Rd. Birds range from raptors, river waders, wrens, orioles, fig birds, honeyeaters…. and more
We return on the same track. Please bring sunscreen, hat, hand sanitiser, a chair and morning tea.
