Short Talk

Felix Cehak – The Albert’s Lyrebird: a natural and social history

The Albert’s Lyrebird is a reclusive forest bird, with a highly restricted range centred on the Queensland/New South Wales border.  It was rarely photographed alive until the late 20th century.  Felix’s talk presents cinematic efforts to elucidate its natural history, and an overview of the social history of the study of Albert’s Lyrebird.
