This lovely reserve intersected by the Lota Creek includes woodland, wetland and grassland areas and typically a very good variety of birds. Walking is easy on flat pathways and tracks, though some of the grassed area directly alongside the Lota Creek can at times be soft underfoot so appropriate footwear is advised.

Directions – from Rickertt Road turn north into Chelsea Road and the signposted entrance to the Mookin-Bah Reserve is on the left between private acreage properties approximately half way along this stretch of road on the left. Parking is easy though please note that there are no toilet facilities here.

The walk begins at 7.15am sharp and can take between 3-4 hours depending on bird activity, followed by morning tea and bird call. Please bring sunscreen, insect repellent a chair and refreshments as usual.
