Tinchi Tamba Outing

Tinchi Tamba Wetlands Reserve © Caleb Gittins

Tinchi Tamba Wetland Reserve, which adjoins the Pine River, consists of mangrove areas and open eucalypt forest. A well maintained circuit walkway leads from the picnic area and traverses the mangrove and eucalypt forest areas. Another walkway branches off from the circuit walkway and leads to a bird hide on the banks of Bald Hills Creek. We will explore the bird life along both of these tracks. We can expect to see a good range of bird species comprising a mix of water and bush birds. Bring morning tea, ample water and insect repellent. Toilet facilities are available at Tinchi Tamba picnic area.
