Come explore Shelly Road Park’s well-maintained trails, home to a diverse array of avian species. This walk provides an excellent opportunity for birders of all experience levels to document local fauna in a tranquil environment. We anticipate an exciting morning of sightings, with a particular focus on locating the Spectacled Warbler and observing the various birds of prey that utilise the park’s open corridors.

Directions: Despite the name, the entrance for this park is not on Shelley Road. At the T junction of Kholo and Lake Manchester Rd (Kholo QLD), continue along Lake Manchester Rd (gravel road), driving past Lake Manchester Day Use Area on right, drive downhill for 2 minutes and you will see the park entrance (a boom gate with a long driveway and house in the distance). The walk will be ~5km total. There are no toilets on site, but some nearby (1kim) at the Lake Manchester Picnic Grounds.
